New Patient Visit

Dr. Caswell and her staff welcome you to Caswell Orthodontics! We are so glad that you and your family have chosen our practice to start working toward the future of your smile. Our highly skilled team is thoroughly committed to providing you with the best orthodontic options. Your time is valuable and we respect that. Your initial appointment will consist of a 30-minute full examination and a review of potential treatment options for your needs. To expedite treatment, we may also reserve time following the exam for diagnostic records, such as x-rays, photos, and impressions. In that case, the overall first appointment will average about an hour and a half.

Step One to Your Healthy Smile

During your first examination, we will address your needs and discuss a few standard orthodontic treatments available to you. Please ask any additional questions that you may have, as we want this first experience to make you comfortable in your decision with our orthodontic practice.

Questions May Include:

  • Is there a condition that can be addressed by orthodontics?
  • Is treatment needed now, or should I wait?
  • What treatments would be best?
  • Do any teeth need removal?
  • What is the estimated treatment time?
  • What is the average cost for this treatment?
  • What are different options for payment?

Along with answering these general questions, we will also address your specific needs with a detailed analysis of your diagnostic records. Your needs are very important to us, which is why we pay attention to every single aspect of your future in orthodontics.

After discussion of your personal needs, we will outline probable treatment time frames and treatment costs. This will give you a better understanding of the commitment you are about to make for a beautiful smile that’s worth it.

In order to help streamline your treatment process, please have any panoramic X-rays taken within the past six months on hand. Also, if you have orthodontic insurance, bring your insurance card to this first appointment. This will better help estimate your treatment costs.
